Vacation: an Observation

Fact: vacationing by yourself is better than going with other people.

Here are the reasons why:
• You can get up and leave whenever you please
• You can stop and take pictures whenever you see something cool
• Everything costs, in general, 50% less than it did before
• No one’s going to complain about 6 consecutive hours of the Rent soundtrack
• You never have to stop or wait for someone to go to the toilet
• You get to do any attraction you want
• You don’t get dragged to stupid stuff (I’m looking at you, Petrified Forest at Curio Bay)
• You can eat pie for breakfast, every day, and no one will judge you, or even know about it



• You get to make awesome financial decisions , like spending less on accommodation than you do on meals
• It’s perfectly acceptable to watch seal pups for over an hour, then buy a hot dog, then go back and watch the seals for another hour . . . while dreaming of how delicious a seal hot dog would be



Now that I’ve outlined the structural reasons for this being the best vacation ever (and the four mini-vacations that follow this Quarter), we can get into the details of where I went – with PICTURES!
